I have a jet kit and a pipe and I was wondering what other modifications should I get for my 400 for it to be more responsive. When I go around corners i want to get on the gas faster and be able to have better low end power that pulls through out the gear.

make sure u keep wit 20" rears and stay away from the grease burgers (keep it where u can see ur belt!) i put a wb all around cam and titanium springs and it helped low end wit e series slip on and power kit (stock header gives more low end than after mkt.)

i know this isn't my thread, but i'm having trouble with low end power too,,,should i take some discs out of my pipe to help with low end? how many?,,,grant, i wish i coulda got a ride on your 400 to see the difference your cam and springs made, and when bronson rode mine, he said it sure didn't hit as hard as his (we thought the difference might have been in the pipe, he had an HMF),,,later, Trav

yeah u shoulda asked me ida been more than welcome to let ya ride it. me and my friends and prolly bronson are plannin a ride to hampton gravel pits saturday. round noon u outa see bout goin but i tried takin discs out and when i did it made it run a lil rich. i was in a hurry so i jus slapped the discs back on and rode.

i checked my plug after ridin in mena and round the house a lil bit and i was runnin rich wit 170 and no lid so i bumped down to 165 dynojet and it is runnnin brown again. u might wanna check that too cuz too rich will make u loose power

yeah next weekend or sometime jus get in touch wit me early in the week and we can plan like goin up to bronsons house or somthin. cuz he said somthin bout u comin down and ridin and i said i wanted in that too. so jus get in touch it everyone. if u are gonna make a pretty good trip to go ridin i WILL make it since its a nice trip down

take out your choke. Its helps out low end. Also I heard shorting the pipe will make more bottom end.
18in tires will help you go faster out of corners.

what about gear ratios, should i stay stock or go down a tooth in the rear or front?

If you go to a 14 tooth front sprocket you'll notice a nice low end power boost..

dont do a 14 tooth front sprocket and 18 inch tires unless u want a 4 speed:eek:

my tires are 20x11-9 what do you mean 18 inch tires I have 20
