Half height MX boots, Anyone ride with them?

I am a recreational rider, thinking about getting some new boots. Anyone ever try the half height MX boots, (Axo Slammer, Thor 50/50, O'Neal Mini boot) Whats your opinion on these, are they any good?

One of my new favorite reasons to wear boots in to protect my shins from the wrath of my kicker! The boots do look like they would be more comfortable to wear though.

They were designed for big boys on little bikes.... aka the pit bike crowd, they slapped atv riders on the side to sell more to a larger community. I would ride with full boots personally. The half boots are for when your all scrunched up and your trying to put your feet down....

Just get the full size man, it will pay off in the end. I used to hate boots but I got some tech 4's then tech 8's and now I won't ride without.

Ya when I first got riding boots I hated them, couldn't shift, couldn't lean, couldn't walk. lol

After I broke them in, got used to them and moved my shifter up 1 notch they are great.
Now I can't ride with out them.
The full boot just feels so safe.
