A diffrent problem

This weekend I had my shift lever shaft break. The shaft that goes into the motor broke. How hard is it to fix. Has this happen to anybody else./

I never had it happen, but i'm pretty sure to put a new one in you have to take the motor out of the frame and hav someone split the case to remove it and put a new one in. It can be expsensive.

I got luck. I was able to weld the shifter on the end of it. I think it will be soilid for now.

ouch! thats gonna hurt the pocketbook to get that one fixed. if you replace the shaft you gotta take the whole engine out and split the cases. :eek: how did you break it?

my shifter bent into the case and I was bending it back with my hand.
