ok so its time for a new filter. i have an 04' 450R. i have heard a lot of mixed feelings about k&n so would like to stay away from them. is there any 1 brand that really stands out from the next as far as UNI, Pro Flow, etc? just wanting some other oppinions. and outerwear...id like to get it since i have the box lid off, does it help much? i have never used it.

i love my K&N on my raptor, but Twin Air is my next favorite. Twin Air and Uni are made exactly the same or at least on my dirtbike they are.

I run a K&N but they need to have an outerwear on them to be fully affective alot of guys don't like them but most of them aren't running the outerwear, Uni would be next in line for me if I had to go with something different.

yea, outerwears are for K&N's, but you can get something called a filter skin that is the same thing.

You can get OUTERWEARs for UNI filters!

I will only run UNIS after seeing it firsthand. Do a search on this topic as there are already many threads about the big filter debate.

In fact I now run my 450R UNI filter on my 97 Ford Ranger intake!!!
