Mines a cheap Craftsman 1/2 hp bench grinder with 6"wheels from Sears and works great. Cost me $35. The package of polishing compound was $6 which is enough to last me the entire bike and 5 others. A buffing wheel was another $6.

i know to do it properly they have different polishing compounds to help bring out the shine. just slappin some mothers on it wont work all that well and wont last without continuous buffing. if you go to the eastwoodautomotive site..they list all the different stuff...its a ton to look at thats for sure..lol
