My stock z400(just K&N) is having problems running once it warms up.
The battery died (quad was sitting dormant indoors for like 3-4 months).
I charged the battery, cleaned and inspected the inside of the carb, put new gas in and a new plug.
The quad would start and run decent when cold but when it warmed up and the idle dropped down it would idle fine but would bog out when I hit the as. The RPM's would fall rather than rise when I hit the gas.

I made sure the choke lever wasn't on and the fuel was in the on position.
I put on a brand new 07 carb, new boot from carb to head, and plug
Same exact problem.
Tried it in res, ON and Pri with no change to the bogging out prob.
I checked the cam timing and vacuum line from tank to carb and thier both good.
There are two vent lines that are connected to the carb.

I think the problem is the stator but not sure. How do I go about checking the stator? Do I need a multimeter? Also should I check the CDI and other electrical components prior to opening the side cover for the stator?

Thanks in advance for the help. My girl wants to ride and my LTR is the only quad running.
