I think I have TAG "T2" bars. They are way too low for me with the stock stem. I would say they are almost straight across.

Does anyone have a pic of the TAG "cr bend" and " cr high bend"?

Does anyone know if the "cr high bend" is close to stock?

What is the difference between Tag X5 bars and T2 bars?

CR high is by far the most popular...should be close to stock

T2s are fat bars
x5s are 7/8 with a crossbar

i'm pretty sure the cr DOUBLE high is the closest to stock as it is also known as the atv bend. the normal cr high bend is a dirtbike bend

if you call tag, they can tell you how to measure your bars and with those measurements they can tell you what bemnd you have. then you can tell them what you desire in a new set of bars ad they can find something close

Yeah sorry about that, CR high is very common but they are also very commonly used with an extended steering stem... so they are closer to stock height in this setup.

So, how does the models progress from being almost straight to a big bend?

Does it go:

cr
cr-high
atv bend.
?

or is cr and cr high the same thing?

From shortest to tallest:

CR LO
CR MID
CR HI
CR DOUBLE HI

Don't let the CR HI name fool you, like someone else said, they are a dirtbike bend.......so they are quite low on a quad with a stock stem.

CR DOUBLE HI is what you want to get. It is a more "quad-friendly" bend.

This is CR DOUBLE HI on a YFZ

Also Im not sure if you are aware or not, but there are probably a 100 different other bends out there.....it can get pretty confusing. The best comparison I've ever seen was right in the rockymountainatv catalog. Order one for free and they have measurements of almost every single bar in the world in there!

Thanks guys. 400ex rider, I will check out that catalog.

I came across this on Ebay:

These look like what I have. So I figure that the Double high is what I need. But dang, the cr mid and cr low must be like totally straight.

yes basically they are, I have ridden a quad with RM low with a +2 height stem and they were retarded low. They are Bike bends, not quad bends. Most bar makers make bike bars, and they have 100s of bends, then an atv/quad generic bend.

Here's TAG's bar chart to give you some guidelines.
http://www.tagmetals.us/mx/productdetails.php?id=t2bats

I used to run their SX bend (similar to CR HI) but it was too wide (802) and low (99) for me.

Now I run a Mini Works/ Mini Hi bend and it is much more comfortable for me. Notice on TAG's chart this bend is more narrow (740) and the tallest of the dirtbike bends at 118. CR Double HI is very similar in height but has more sweep back and width from end to end.

Nacsmxer, thanks man, that helps a lot. Bike looks great too. That looks like a good choice , the ones you are runnin. Why do they call em "mini sx" or mini whatever? Seems like they would be called that to go on a mini quad or bike.

Not a problem, thanks for the compliment :)

They are called a Mini bend because they are intended for mini bikes. This is why they are so much more narrow in width. Only thing I don't like about this bend is the fact that it makes your controls on your bars a little more cramped. They are perfect functionally though. They felt very small to me at first since I was used to the SX bend, but I really love them now.

This is the same bend that is very popular with a lot of snowmobile guys that freeride/freestyle. I thought it would work well on a quad so I tried it out...glad I did.

If you like more width or need more room for controls, I would go with the CR Double Hi. You can always cut the ends if they are too wide.

Bar risers are worth checking out.

I went with pretty flat, straight bars and a riser (Trailtech) , and I really like them.

I have Pro Taperd Bars on My 06YFZ. They fill alot better than stock..Something I got to get used to. Stock ones felt bend from the factory. the new ones seem like there 2" or more higher.
