I am rebuilding my 250R and thinking about going with an aftermarket frame. Wondering who to go with? Also, what size tubing do they use to build it out of. Same size as stock one? thanks

you can buy a lsr or aarens frame and it will nearly be identical to the fitment of the stock stuff. I have a lsr baja frame and its heavier than the stock frame(I have 3 of them) and round tubing. I'm told its made from chromoly steel and thicker than the stock material. Chromoly steel is alot stronger also. Leagers, walsh, and roll design frame are very different and require most of their own products.

How on earth do you buy these frames? I tried to buy a new Arens last summer and couldn't get a hold of anyone to take an order.

I never had any problems calling lsr, I have their axles, hubs and anti-fades. I never did try and order a frame, I bought the bike with it on.

me too. I cannot track down any of these frame people. i was just wondering what size the tubing is. 1/2, 3/4 or what. This will help me make my decison maybe. I might call LSR anyways.

I have two LSR's and I am happy with them. The older chassis had some fitment problems, but it just took a little fabbing. The newer chassis is perfect. Be prepared for a wait though, LSR told me about 6-8 weeks and it ended up being 4 months for my first one. The second one was about 10 weeks. As for the other companies, Laeger doesn't make chassis' anymore, and I don't think Roll or Walsh does either. Not sure about Arens.

Walsh and LRD do not make a chassis for a 250R anymore.

Laegers, Walsh, Roll Design and LRD do not make frames for the R anymore. LSR and Arens might still.

Dosn't it suck that all the cool 250R stuff is gone? I hate all this 4 stroke junk.

yeah, I am trying to get 88/89 pro-peg nerf bars, but they are discontinued also.

Are you looking for the AC pro peg nerfs that bolt up to a stock 88-89 250R frame or the aftermarket frame pro peg nerfs. I have both types that I might sell.

pro-pegs that bolt to the stock frame. I want the ones with the wide peg and kick-up also.

good luck finding the pro pegs, I'm looking for the wide footpeg pro peg frame style, preferably 1" back, 1" down or with heelguards. I have some now, but they're rigged up where the teeth are.

Walsh Racing actually sells them. I just bought mine a few months ago.
