I'm looking for a tire that is longlasting and gives a good ride. I see alot of people have razors but there are like 3 different types. Is it true that 6ply tires give a very rough ride? I also heard the kenda claws were decent and they are cheaper. Opinions Please!

also the bike has been jetted and the guy i bought it from is running it with a stock exaust with the air box cover off. when i purchase my HMF slip on will i to re jet or will it be fine:chinese:

I have 6 ply Kenda Klaws XCRs (Rears) and 4 ply XCFs (Fronts). I think they are great. I did my homework before buying them so I was certain I wouldn't have any regrets. I bought them from www.rockymountainatv.com for $198.95 with free shipping. The most interesting thing is the rear tires are reversable. I have them set up for loose to medium track/trail conditions. If I switch the rims on the back of the quad the "V" tire pattern faces forward for medium to hard packed trail/track conditions. Spots where my stock tires would struggle, the Klaws lived up the their name and push right on through.

razr's all the way, best tire i have run by far! 6 ply or 4 both are great! i am running the 4 now and have been hitting stumps and ruts with no problems at all! get razr II up front and regular razr's in the back 4 or 6 ply it's up to you i like the 4 ply better only because it is lighter and i have yet to break one, maybe if i do i will go the the 6.

in my opinion maxxis all traks provide the best all around traction. they are a little heavy but they are great in snow, ice, dirt, mud, sand and rocks plus they have lots of side wall bite for the ruts. my 50 % all traks outperformed new klaws foxlites knobbys as far as fronts i cannot give you an opinion because i am still running my stock ones

I love my Maxxis Razr II's. they are a lil pricy but from what ive seen its worth the extra money. tires are a big part of your quad. Either way you cant go wrong with ITP or Maxxis. Both great companies. It also depends on what kinda riding and what terrain you will be on.

Another All Trak user here. If you're running generally on the trails in wide ranges of conditions, the All Traks are nothing short of perfect.

If you're wanting to use a combination trail/track tire, they don't come any smaller than 22" so you might have to rethink that.

I also have a set on my 4wd and they perform admirably in the snow and mud and they are going to last wayyyyyy longer than the 4,000 miles my stockers did.

I'm running ITP MudLites front and rear..

Awesome tires, and they look amazing too.

Id say go with razr 2's.... The tread lasts an incredible amount of time on them and they are a great tire all around.....

I would go with regular Razr's on the rear. I have the Razr 2's and they bite too much when I race the oval track. This is just a personal preference. Those Kendas look cool, I want to try 'em.
