UNI filter?

I have the stock filter. I was thinking about getting a new one. I heard K&N wasn't that good. Are Uni filters better? Where can i get the best deal?

uni filters are foam and catch more dirt than k&n because it is a paper filter.

A properly oiled K&N filter will work just fine..

I agree with RICO,

I read an article that said all sorts of bad things about K&N, one thing they said to do was to take off your filter carefully and (using a black surface) tap it on it to see where the dirt falls, in the article the they made it look like a whole bunch of dirt was passing through the filter even with the outer wear on it. When I tried this i realized that this guy must be on UNI's payroll because after riding in very dusty conditions for a long time my filter did not do what his did. I am keeping my K&N:devil

I believe the UNI is lower maintenance.

yeah the k&n is a pretty good filter, but its so danm hard to get all the little crap out of the filter (very small bugs, large dirt particles, etc) is the uni a higher flow than the stock? i think its less than the k&n but i need to catch all of the small stuff cause i removed the lid. i looked at the filter and OMG after riding in the rain and sand while its raining, is not a good think without the lid....

Hey Guys,How about them Twin Air Filters?I eman all the dirtbike guys use them,so they any good?

Also, a Foam Filter is better for dusty conditions,and a K&N is better for liek non dust,and sandy areas,liek dunes,but not real fine dust...

YES the twinair filters rock! and there easy to clean also! get one and you will be VERY impressed. they have a dual foam type thing. one catches more than the other type idea. really good quality
