Hey guys, this guy approached me about trading his 04 yfz 505 for my 250r. I am skeptical about doing this. The relaiblitly of my 250r with all the engine work has gone down the drain. It starts on some days others it doesnt. So i was looking to go 4 stroke, e-start 450. I like how the yfz's feel so i am kind of interested in this trade. The guy says its a 505 stroker with a new cylinder also, port and polish and new crank. I am thinking how reliable is this set up?? He also says it runs on 93 octane gas.
So I am thinking, how reliable is this set up? and how often do you need to rebuild them? also how much more power is this going to make then a stock 450r with a duncan mild port and polish, hot cams stage 2 and a 13:1 piston ?
