I think it does, especially when Im in the for sale section. I get worried buying stuff from people with 8 posts.

However when I see someone like pappy with 20,000+posts, I know that they have been a member for a while and can generally be trusted.

Just my thoughts on the situation.

Im not saying that makes them a trustworthy person, especially not just a 1000 posts, but it seems that people with higher post counts on here seem to be part of the bette crowd and not mostly annoying little kids.

yea at one point they were thinking about getting rid of post counts i think. i always figured there useless

but the buying things from member with 8 posts brings up a good point, and yess people with 5000 posts do seem to be more trusts worthy
