just got a 450r

i just traded my kfx 700 for a 450r now i have 2 hondas a 250r and the 450r
okay i got some questions im gonna change all the fluids to start off fresh.

so for the tranz 85w bellray gearsaver is it okay to run it? i usely run it in my 2stroke so i have a few on hand

so for the engine side change the filter and i have some 5-50w royal purple. is it good to run this oil? i seen some thing on line saying some people were running shell rottela(sp) diesel oil. i run this in my truck so i have some cases of this laying around

well i run bel-ray 10-40 thumper oil in mine ( 07 ). in both sides and it does really good but there is a lot of good oils out there so that is just my opioin. just make sure u run a wet clutch oil in the gearbox. u don't want the clutch slipping on u.:cool:

That should be fine. Most 450R owners run an 80-85 weight oil in their gear side. I never really understood the rotella deal, but I guess it cant be that bad cause more than a few people use it.

I run Honda 80w red bottle for tranny (switching to klotz though)
and klotz 10-40 in the engine side... good stuff, but pricey

yea i use rotella in mine but i am switching over to golden spectro

I just use GN4 in both sides and I have no problems:o

thanks guys for the input i used the shell oil for the engine and i changed the clutch and used 85w gear oil and its running and shifting cherry
