Place for the key and coolant light?

zip tie the light to one of your cables so you can still see it. i also zip tied my ignition to the steering stemsw side right below the clamp. zip tie it arounf the switch and throught the two holes on the frame /stem , ill try to get some pics up.

i just got new bars to and i would also like to know a good spot to mount the key, no zip tieing i want it looking good

I DID IT LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT DOESNT LOOK BAD , IT WAS EASY AND I DID NOT WANT TO DRILL IN MY PLASTICS. YOU CAN DRILL INTO THE PLASTICS ON EITHER THE HOOD OR THE SIDE FAIRINGS. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DONT DRILL INTO THE GAS TANK, GOOD LUCK....

One of the first things we did to ours back in Feb of 04... It probably took about 45mins to cut and shape a small piece of alluminum to go around the steering stem nicely. Then we just used two small screws and it has held up perfectly ever since... Here's a pic.

Heres mine. Kinda hard to tell where my key is...kinda like wheres waldo. I just leave it in the on position since I have a kicker

mine's the same as shiftfmx's. everything is just shoved under the hood with the key always turned on. mine's a kick-start as well.

I made an aluminum bracket for mine. It has a temp light and key up front, and a teather mount in the back.

The teather is super easy to get to also.

But I found out the hard way that the front part where the key and temp light are makes a nice cutting edje for your chin when you case a jump or somthing. Still not any worse than some of them bar clamps with no pad tho.

I just put on a ROX risers and they have a unit that the nuetral light the temp light and the ignition fit in. It looks good and all the stock stuff fits like perfect. Cost $45, but was well worth it. Nice and clean.

LSR makes a plate that bolts between the stem and bar clamps!It may also work on an oem not sure!!
