I have a chance to get an 05 450r for 5400 OTD. An 06 is 6500, and an 07 is 6800. Is it worth it to get the 06/07?

I am thinking buy the 05 and then I have $1400 worth of mods on a still brand new bike before I could get an 07. I don't mind kicking, because I already have an 04. It seems to be super reliable and I am not really interested in the electric start, it just seems like there are too many problems with them...

Help me out please!!

i go my 05 for 5100 otd six months ago see if you can talk them down a bit

IMO electric start is for sissy's ;) :D . the 05 and about 450 bucks in the motor and you can out run the 06/07. if you can do the work. thats what i would do. i would'nt think about the 06 because its not much differant then the 05 besides power. the 07 is a inch wider then the 05/06. so keep that in mind too.:D

I am not worried about suspension and how wide it is because that is one of the first things I will be replacing.

What are the major power differences between the 2 motors? I know the 05 has 10.5:1 compression vs. 12:0:1 right? What else? Because I always hear these stories how people with just an HRC kit in their 06 are completely out running modded 04/05's. And that is where I get kind of...... concerned? :)
