12:1 compression

how power gain will i have by putting a 12:1 compression pistion in my stock 04 motor. it does have the hrc kit with hmf full exhaust. i want to know much of a difference it will make.

i was going to go with cp pistons, they make a 12:1.

Rule of thumb is approximately a 3% gain per compression point raised.

So going from a stock 10.5:1 slug to 12:1 will give you a gain of roughly 4.5%. With this percentage...you look to gain anywhere from 1.5-2hp.

CP makes great pistons...they are pretty expensive however. I believe most retail for over $200. Great pistons none the less...lots of features...and you are correct, they do make a 12:1 94mm piston.

yea they wanted 220 i believe for their pistin and rings
