Mx or XC?

Hey guys.. I was just wondering what kinda quad would be the best for MX and Hairscrables.. right now i have a prarie 360 and lookin for a sport quad..

What are you guys runnning for racing?

So are you going to use this quad for both XC and MX?

I would suggest a Honda or YFZ 450. But you would really need to ride both machines to see which one fits your riding style.

get a 400ex very cheep to buy and lots of parts out their.


most people I beat are riding 450:D

400EX will take care of both jobs but the 450's have the extra hump we ex owners want!!

450R or YFZ450...both are suited well for MX and XC...its all personal opinion to which is better.:o

IF U R GUNNA LEAVE IT STOCK EITHER BUT U R GUNNA HAVE TO TAKE 1 SERIOUSLY AND MOD IT FOR THAT I WOULD SUGGEST TO NEVER TAKE A MX BIKE ON A XC TRACK

I would highly suggest a 450 of some sort. The 400ex you are going to have to spend some extra $$$ into it in order to get it up to par.

If you want to race XC but the machine put some skids on it and race it. You do not need to do much to a XC machine to get going. After a race or 2 you will figure out what mods you want to do to improve your handling.


If you decide to race MX seems like you will need to dump more money into it in order to keep up with the rest of the class. But if you have a stock class you should be alright.

I race XC and I practice MX with my XC machine. So I would suggest that. Race some XC since it dosen't take many mods to race it and practice XC until you figure out what you want to do.
