well depends on what individual pipe. like a 400 hmf is going to be better than a fmf megamax for sure. and s/o vs. full exhaust you have to think about also.

HMF is known for great bottom to midrange power, i'm not sure about FMF Q2 though, I just know it's a very quiet pipe.

That particular HMF is going to be decently loud, and that particular FMF is going to be on the quiet side. Which one you should get depends on your needs.

Also, a general rule of thumb (which is not always true) is the louder the exhaust, the better the power potential. The quieter the exhaust, the more restrictive it is (less power potential).

srry, one more ?. my area is pretty "sound sensative", so what if i put the quiet core in the hmf.

I say go with the loudest one you can find lol. Of course i'm just an *** I guess. My neighborhood always calls the cops on me and my buddy's for running around the neighborhood. 4 2 stroke's running around the neighborhood in a "pack" gets pretty loud, lol.

lol. i had a white bros. r4 ( loud mother ****er ), and i got the cops called on me twice. finally i got the q2, but now i kinda want an hmf. im thinkin if i put a quiet core in it it will perform the same but still quiet it down enough so i dont piss off my neighbors anymore. thanks 4 the input.

Even with the quiet core in the HMF, it will still be louder than the Q2......so the decision is up to your judgement on that.
