hey
i was wondering if you have a bike that has a 13.5:1 piston could you replace it with a 11:1 piston? how reliable would a 13.5:1 be ,...would it over heat a lot or anything?
also how much work would have to be done

thanks

Yes it is possible, but either the bore would have to be the same, or you'll need to resleeve.

As for reliability, as long as you take care of it, it'll last forever.

so you wouldnt need to rebuild the top end or anything,...also would they over heat alot more in the summer?

No, you just need to resleeve and bore it for the new piston, unless it's the same bore as the 13.5:1 piston. As long as you rejet you'll be fine. I suggest getting new gaskets when you change pistons.
