i put the +6 timing key in my ex and now it wont start it truns over but all it does is make a real loud backfire i need help guys thanks.

are you sure you put the key in right? i know with curtis sparks key the red mark has to be facing away from the motor instead of at the motor. check that first. if i remember correct looking at the crank the key fit in and the missing part of the key was facing to the right. towards the front of engine.

yes i made shore that the red part is faceing away from the engine i think the timming mit be off
MY mechanics recommendation to make it run right -
Step 1 - Remove it.
Step 2 - Throw it in the woods.
He tried it and the CDI box, and it screwed his timing all up.

I belive that's because some CDI boxes advance the timing too...

so if it is my timming wil i have to take my head off or can i use the tensoner on the clinder to fix it
