oppions? 250r or a banshee ?

Trying to decide on getting a banshee or a 250r...what everyones oppion on a choice saying they both are mostly stock motors both have body mods aftermarket parts .
Which is more dependable for trail ridding just having fun ridding with friends ?

I hate to not say Banshee...but for trails you might be better off on an R. Get a Banshee if your going to be in open areas where you can open it up. Remember...250R's are old. They might not be the most dependable. But if you don't take care of a Banshee...they will not be dependable AT ALL!!! They are high maintenance. Good luck on choosing!!!

I would go with a 250r no matter what I rode. They are nice quads and are very comfortable, they have a good frame geometry for racing mx to. R are just as reliable if not more than a Banshee. My friend had a R and now has a banshe and he says he still had his R. He has had a probleme with almost everything in the electrical.

If both are stock, nice machines I would go 250r

Banshee if you are riding dunes or drag racing but the 250R is way more versatile and you will be much happier on the trails with it.

Banshees are great machines but they are top end motors.
How often are you going to be in the top end on a tight trail.

Don't let these guys steer you toward a banshee just because they own one or don't like 250R's.

I own both and only ride the Banshee in the dunes.
The 250R is more comfortable, better handling, and has a much better and easier to ride power band.

Anyone who knows what they are talking about will have to agree with me on that.

And if you are still in highschool your opinion doesn't count.

but to answer your question if you want to go as fast as possible, get a banshee. If not get a nice 250r

250r for overall handling/racing etc, but for a wild ride deff the banshee

Just do what I did and go with a loenstar Outlaw Banshee and you will have the best of both worlds. runs like a Banshee and handles like a 250R.
They are getting harder and harder to find though and I just recently heard that Lonestar does not offer this chassis anymore. Very sad but I think they only bult like 15 of these chassis and I know where 2 are right now,

ty you all for the oppions...I just pickup a nice Banshee today...many Banshee around here but i havent seen no 250r,s around here or where i ride at..ill try the Banshee out and go from there.
