Suburbans gas mileage

I am thinking about getting a 4x4 Suburban. To all the burban owners out there. What kind of gas mileage do you get. I had one guy tell me that he gets 20mpg on his. I find this hard to believe. Is he telling the truth. I only get around 12mpg in my Ram.

20 mpg? i dont think so lol. we have a tahoe and it gets around 17mpg.

i got a 95 and the best tank i ever had was a little over 15

the Vortec's do better than the standard TPI engines, even with 3.42 axle gears my friend only gets right at 18. 20 seems like BS
