Howdy folks. I have a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 400 4x4 quad. It's a great machine, but it has one major problem, I must step the shift lever into neutral every time before I start it. What a hassle that can be sometimes. A good example is when I'm parked on a grade in gear. It can be tricky to find neutral what with skipping over it into reverse and then missing it on the way back up and going into first gear. I found a couple of wires heading out of the transmission, but when I disconnected them, bridged them, etc. the thing wouldn't even crank! Any suggestions? Thanx.
