after...................BAM!!!!!!!!

$730.00 for the rims and $200.00 for the tires. I got Mud Plugs for and extra $80.00
The rear 9x9 3+6 offset rims were $70.00 more than a 4+5 off set but, I wanted the off set as close to stock rims as possible. The fronts are 10x5 3+2 off set. Tires are Kenda Klaws XCF 22x7-10 and XCR 20x11-9.
I have more photos if you're interested. I mounted them myself. It took about an hour to an hour and a half. Let me know if you have any questions.

dude those look like F ing s**t!!! I would feel bad if I didn't take those off your hands and dispose of them....in all honesty you probably couldn't even sell those to anyone for more than 10 cents...but since I care so deeply for people that get ripped off in these types of situations you can go ahead and send these to me, and I'll also send you $10 so that you can regain a little bit of your dignity...:(

Just screwin with ya man:devil: those make a killer looking addition to your quad!! money well spent!!!

Nice try! They cost me right around a grand. They look so good that I don't even want to ride it. I just want to stare at them. I've wanted them for a while now but, I've been saving up. They were easy to assemble.

Love the hipers man, makes the bike really stick out looks great BTW. I kind of wish I used my head and bought hipers at first, getting kind of sick of the Baja's but there ok. It takes so long to polish the darn things up. They look great on my bike but I think Hiper's would definently set it of alittle bit more to peoples likeing.

You're the first one to catch that. We have those flags all over the securing gear we put on the aircraft to remind us to remove it before it goes flying. I thought it was a nice touch. I got a kick out of it too.

I'm going out riding on them for the first time today. I'll be certain to let you know. I did my homework before buying them, They are the best suited tire to my riding style. I'm mostly a trail rider, but I do go on a couple track now and than. I don't race. I ride for fun. I got the XC tires instead of the MX version because they are a couple plies thicker on the rear tires. The most interesting thing is the rear tires are reversable. I have them set up for loose to medium track/trail conditions. If I switch the rims on the back of the quad the "V" tire pattern faces forward for medium to hard packed trail/track conditions.

Hipers do make your bike look 10x sicker. I LOVE mine, you'll never have to worry about busting a bead again.

I had been thinking of that. I thought about sending them in to Pappy to get powder coated Red but, I don't want to wait. I may buy another set of hubs and have them powder coated.
I just got back from riding with them for the first time. The rims and tires are a perfect match for my riding style. I got up to 64.3 mph on hard packed dirt. Later on, I found some loose dirt and those rear tires tear right through it. Spots where my stock tires would struggle, the Klaws lived up the their name and push right on through.
I road 42 miles today (2 hours) and the tires and rims held up perfectly. I'm running 4 psi with no leaks yet. I might lower the pressure a half a pound.
Next Mod is 450R shocks. I bought a set today off a 2007. I should recieve them by Thursday or Friday.

I had to retorque about 25% of the bead lock ring bolts. The rings must have settled a bit on my ride today. No leaks just a little dirty now.

You're the second person to catch that.

I thought the "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" flag was perfect. Being in the Military and working on jet aircraft I deal with these safety flags on a daily basis. Plus it's worth a good laugh the first time you see it on the exhaust plug.

It's the military training in me. "Attention to Detail" has been drilled into me. I even went as far as mounting the tires and beadlock rings so that the words "XCR/XCF KLAWS" and "HIPER" align with the valve stems on all 4 rims. I'm surprised you didn't catch that AbnMP13.

I bought a set off a 2007 450R yesterday for $220.00 shipped. They should be here Thursday or Friday. I added them to my signature last night. Once I get them installed, I'll shot some more pictures. I may have to modify or remove my air scoops to get them to fit. The reservoirs will come real close to hitting them.

But, Damn you would look good doing it!

Actually, $730.00 for fronts and rears is the best price quote I could find for the off-set I wanted. HiPer has a price fixing squeeze on it's dealers. Their website has my rims listed at $1,020.

This flippin SC red clay stains and ruins everything.

I'm not familiar with the Hipers. What makes them good enuf to justify the cost? I just don't know anything about them, other than they are tires with beadlocks.

http://www.hiper-technology.com/

This comes directly from their website:

HiPer Carbon Fiber Wheels use a proprietary carbon fiber composite material and are the lightest, strongest and toughest wheels available. Metal wheels bend and must be replaced often. It is not unusual to see a pro racer "use up" a set of aluminum racing wheels in one or two race weekends. HiPer Racing Wheels last for season after season and hence are the lowest cost solution.

Light Weight: HiPer Racing Wheels are typically much lighter than similar sized .160 aluminum wheels and about the same weight as .125 thick aluminum wheels. In addition, the weight distribution of our wheels results in lower rotating inertia. This means you accelerate faster while the overall lighter weight means your suspension can be more responsive.

3-Times Stronger than Aluminum: HiPer wheels are a modular design with the halves manufactured from DuPont Zytel CDV805 a conductive polyamide resin modified with aerospace grade carbon fiber for improved strength. HiPer Racing Wheels are typically 3 to 5 times stronger than top of the line aluminum wheels.

HiPer Wheels come in 4 to 5 pieces and each part can be replaced individually at a fraction of the cost or replacing a typical aluminum racing rim. All HiPer Wheels come with a full 1 year warranty and top notch customer service.

MONEY WELL SPENT :macho

Very nice looking quad. From looking at yours I think that my stock graphics kit is what makes my quad look boring to me. I noticed in your sig. that they are DMP graphics. What are those and where did you get them? I love the Hipers by the way.

hornetgod13

I got my DMP Graphics and matching seat cover off Ebay for $67.00. Search Ebay for "400EX Graphics" Check Ebay first but, They also have a website. www.dmpcovers.com They sell the same set on the website for $108.00.

Update: I checked Ebay for you and there is a 1999 to 2004 set of the identical graphics kit and seat cover that's currently at $76.00 with just over 2 days remaining. I attached a picture. Since I won my auction on Ebay 6 months ago the demand has went up and so have the auction's closing price. The past 2 auctions for this graphics kit ended at $122.00 and $147.00. If you're really interested it might be wiser to go directly through the website.

It appears to me that hornetgod13 has some real skills with quads that we can all learn from....His quad shows that he knows what he is doing...bolt on stuff is fairly easy but the motor modifications...require some knowledge...He definatley knows how to put togther one mean looking quad and shares anything he can with the rest of us to benefit from his knowledge....Sweet ride and look forward to other modifications....STEVE

Thanks Steve. I'm always willing to help others out if they need it. There are things I'm very knowledgable on and there's other I'm not. I'll help where I can. I wouldn't have done half the things on my quad if it wasn't for the help and information from this website. People on here a fantastic at sharing information. Just let me know if you have any questions related to the mods That I have done. Check my signature for the list.

Thanks for the checking ebay for me. I found they're website on google and noticed that they are from Argentina or somewhere down there and I know people say to be cautious of buying products internationally, which is why I asked where you got them. I am going to keep an eye out because I really want to get a set of them. Thanks for your help and nice quad. Enjoy!

There are 2 sellers on Ebay that are in Miami, Florida. I think they are direct seller's for DMP Cover's. I was lucky and got it off Ebay at a great price and it was shipped fairly quickly. Not sure how ordering from there website might go. The Ebay prices on the set are sky rocketing.

Hey...Hornetgod13...Did all go ok with the install of the Curtis Sparks adv. key....also you were getting skids all the way around...and I was wondering if you could tell us how they worked out for you...looks like we have a few more days of rain here in the Central Valley...By the way...your quad looks better and better everytime you modify it..

Yes, I got Full Cobra Skidplates installed. They are top notch. They cost a bit more than most other brands but after seeing them first hand and installing them I know they are well worth it. Enlarge the pictures on their website and see for yourself. http://www.cobrausa.com/content/index.cfm?siteaction=ATVPartlist&bikeID=70
I'm got the crankcase gasket and I plan to installed the Sparks Advanced Timing Key tomorrow.
I'm still waiting to receive the replacement stock steering stem. I have everything else to get it put back together. I just purchased a set of Trail Tech 1 1/8" bar blamps and black X-Bars. I also have a Trail Tech Endurance Dash board ready to installed once I get the steering stem.
It should be all put back together for a ride next weekend. I have a 4 days off next weekend so I'm pretty excited to go riding.
