Would an 11.1 piston and stage one cam setup work for racing supercross/MX? im a beginner but im looking for a little more power at a resonable price. I have a FMF mega max and powerbomb header K&N air filter and dynojet jet kit right now. track is a combo SX and MX.

to tell yout the truth i would save my money and get a-arms and axle...widening your quad is the first thing you should do along with suspension..i wish i would of doen that first becuz thats the biggest improvement i made...

i agree...

but if you want power first, then the #1 thing i would do is scrap the pipe u got now in favor of a more powerfule one like the yosh or sparks or hmf. then i would go with a stage 2 hotcam, and 11:1 piston

yeah ive been thinking about a new pipe also. can i go with a slip on or should i go full exhaust?

if your going to do a cam and piston, i would go with the full pipe. if your only going to do a cam(a mild one though like the stage one) then you should be fine with a S/O. IMO a full system is better though. check this site out. they got some full systems for pretty cheap. the yosh pipe is about $400 from here (http://rockymountainatv.com)

There's no reason to get rid of your exhaust because the gain is minimal and you're better off spending your money on making your quad wider and improving your suspension FIRST.

Concentrate on the chassis. You'll go faster with a stock motor and good suspension than with a fast motor and stock suspension.

good choice. may i suggest custom axis or pep for shocks, and leaher or houser a-arms. (roll design is better, but alot more expensive)
