I have an aftermarket airbox that holds my battery, stater solenoid, rectifier and air filter of course. :D The only draw back is it is too big for an outerwear to cover it up. I dont think a stock air box modified is going to hold your battery.

hey i modified my stock air box to put the battery in it, BAD IDEA, it fit good, and was secured down in there, until i hit my 40 foot table top about 3 times, need less to say the battery broke right through the plastic air box and was destroyed by the swing arm. save up some money and buy an aftermarket aluminum one.

CFM Performance makes a very nice one, they sell them on eBay (new) all the time.

Don't try and rig it up with your stocker box,,one decent jump and your gonna break your entire airbox off and everything in or around it..

Bigbore81 made mine for around $100..
