View Full Version : Chevy 350 small block need help asap!!!

OK went to replace plugs wires cap and rotor cause truck was running bad and needed a tune up

everything right is gapped and in correct order

will not fire period any ideas?

Sounds like you put the cap and rotor on wrong. Pop the cap back off and check the rotor. I think that is where your problem is at.

make sure the plug wires are on correct and the wires that go to the distributer.

but check the cap and rotor first!
and if you took the whole distributer out you may have but it in backwards.

you cant put the rotor and cap on wrong unless you jam the friggen thing on. they are both are keyed
so they only fit one way
dont forget to check the contact in the middle of rotor
and the contact on the cap

So it ran, you changed the cap, rotor, wire and plugs and now it won't fire? Make sure the coil is hooked up and any other electrical connections.

everything is on correct and has been checked out spark everywhere coil is working fine too

If it wont fire than its not on correct. My bet is you put the wires on wrong..... I take one off the old cap and put it on the new one 1 by 1 to make sure there put on in the right order.... I would say check your wires...
