I haven't washed my filter in a while.......oops. I was wondering if the K&N cleaning kit will rip through all of that dirt and dust. Pix are below (i hope). Thanks

Ya the outerwears would be a good idea but make sure you get one that fits you k&n.

So I cleaned the filter with the kit. All of the mud and dirt came off. The soft filter thing is now a yellowish color. All I have to do is add the oil.

Make sure that when you rinsed the K&N filter cleaner off the filter you sprayed it from the inside out. Also, make sure that there are no more oil/dirt spots left before you re-oil it. If everything looks good, then re-oil and add an Outerwears.

How do you know when its time to get a new k&n because mines really discolored?
