I've done it, but don't really reccommend it just for safety issues. I've used one on the track before and it kicked ***, but there are times where you may want to be in another gear and not even realize it because you can't hear the sound of your bike. I like it a lot for ripping up the dunes also but wouldn't reccommend it on a busy weekend that's for sure...

Only done it a handful of times... I like hearing the sound of my bike/quad! :)

One of the guys I ride with rides with one and it annoys the hell out of me because I cant pull over real quick and tell him something and he can never tell if i'm behind him

I ride with one, and I can hear both my quad and my music just fine. And it doesn't distract me one bit, I can also tell when some one is trying to get my attention or anything like that...

Just get the new shuffle. I love this thing!! I use it far more than I use my regular ipod... Just load on what you mainly listen to, it holds like 300 songs and goooo! It has a little clip already built on, you can't even feel it because it weighs half an ounce so you just clip it to your shirt/jersey or whatever.

I ride with an MP3 player but i only use one ear piece so I can still hear what is going on around me. Also use it on a street bike.

I used to do it, but i memorized my gearing pattern on the track before i would put my headphones in

I don't have enuf mental horsepower to focus on my riding, remembering to breathe, and listen to musik.

I do talk to myself sometomes....

"Come on Mark...FOCUS!!!! .....that was stupid, get your head in the game, man...."

well if you do it, dont be a feeb and turn the volume all the way up... my friend bought a new 400ex (bone stock and i just had to try it  ) and i could still hear the engine and hear what people were saying around me.

me too... lol....

i've listened to music while riding before but the headphones i had at the time were uncomfortable. i know scott murray and caleb moore ride with iPods. scott has for a long time and caleb started after he tried scotts at the pit one day and it helped him to not overthink what he was doing so much so he bought an iPod that night when we went into town.

My uncle rides with one, He can hear me when I need to talk to him. And I can tell if he's listening to it or not because he's more relaxed when he is and rides better. I've personally never tried it because I don't have an Ipod or anything.... I could borrow my sister's lol.

ya I like to listen to the type of hard core music that keeps you pumped up while your riding....it just puts me in a whole different frame of mind, that allows me to ride better, and I'm not sure why but everything just seems to flow easier without thinking about it or whatever.... JMO

I ride with my Ipod shuffle when I'm riding the dunes. I love it. It does not distract me at all. I keep it low enough that I can still hear my pipe and what the motor's doing.

After school sometimes I'll ride on the small roads behind my house and I'll get a phone call and shove my phone in my helmet so I don't have to hold it and then start to ride. I can't go too fast because i can't hear my phone over the engine and I don't wanna lose my phone, plus my phones volume is not that good either. lol

I've listening to my ipod while riding and it is a little distracting. It's not worth listening to it over chancing not hearing another quad coming at me on the trail around a bend or something like that.
