So I bought this ssr 250 atv.One of the generics right. Well the thing runs great but the problem is when they sold it to me they said it was a green sticker bike. They even wrote it on the receipt.Well as you can guess I get a red sticker in the mail. What should I do.can it be fixed to become a green sticker?

The ffnnn company lied to me and said the atv was a green sticker bike. The dmv sent me a red sticker not a green one.So wtf do I do about it? is there anything I can do to the atv to make it a green sticker instead of a red

Must be from California? I belive they have a system where a vehicle with a certain color sticker can only be used on certain days or times of year...

In California there are 2 types of registration stickers red and green.Green for 4 strokes and pre 2002 2 strokes and is good all year. Red is for post 2002 2 strokes and is only good 6 months a year.

Check this link out

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/ohvredgreen.htm

Says if atv is 2002 or older it's automatically a green sticker, so if you bought a 250r it should definitely be green. They probably made a mistake, call them and find out.

They lied to you... because those generic off the wall Chinese bikes are all Red Stickers from what I have seen!!!!! They probably didn't know wtf you were talking about.

Yes all 2002 2 strokes AND MX 4 STROKES or older are green, all after that are red. They are good for more than 6 months a year it just depends on the areas you are riding in as well. But who the hell rides in june/july/august in 115 degrees + in the summer months anyways? Time to go to the lake/river then!! :P

that is right...green sticker is for california. if it is not green sticker compliant then it cannot be ridden on state lands such as national forests riding parks or the dunes....only on the track. u could try to lean the jetting out by 1 main...it might help, but otherwise i have no idea wut to do

That only applies in Southern California. Up here red stickers are allowed everywhere green stickers are. Good thing for me because that's what I'm sporting:D

You should never buy those cheap generic atvs. All are red stickers. I have not seen one green sticker yet. Who ever sold you this lied to you. Sorry to tell you this but you get what you pay for.
