Hub Modification

I saw from HP Research a set of DS650 Hubs that have been machined to accept either Honda or Yamaha bolt patterns...the stock DS bolt pattern is 4/143...does this sound safe? How much material would have to be removed to get to a Honda or Yamaha pattern? The reason I'm asking is the DS is very limited on the amount of aftermarket wheels avaliable for it with 4/143 pattern...Thanks

i would think moving the studs closer to the center like that would make a stronger hub

I highly doubt they modded the stock hubs, although it almost sounds that way, as he said it, rather they probably machined a set of hubs FOR a DS650 that are the honda bolt pattern, which is the more common practice. I cant imagine machining the stock hub
