I found a 1982 atc 70 3-wheeler in the local paper for sale. The guy only wants $200 for it. It has good tires, plastic, tank, compression, etc...

The only problem is its not getting spark, the seller thought it had something to do with the points and condenser. Would I be able to make any money on this if I were to fix and resell?

If its a 4 speed which i think it should be you can sell the non running motor to me and put a lifan 120 monster head motor in it and ride it

if its a four speed you can get a lot of money out of it even if its the three its still a sought after three wheeler. i had the same spark prob with my 70 and 85 bucks at your local honda shop will take care of it

I think you could definitely make money on it...it's a desirable small CC three wheeler.

Why would it matter if it's a four speed, they're not rare. All the ATC70's from 82-85 are four speeds. As for being sought after, it all depends on what part of the country you live in. I've had five of them, ranging in condition from fair to nearly new, and I really didn't make much money on them, except for the nearly new one, which was an '85. Watch what they do on Ebay, that will give you an idea of what they're worth. I won't touch one for resale now unless it's near mint and almost free. The only exception to this would be a '73 or '74, and of course the rarest of all Hondas, the blue '83 ATC70 (which I already have):D
