My HiPer Wheels will be here Friday, according to UPS. My questions is, do I need one or two 12 point 3/8th sockets. I have several 6 sided and one 12 point socket. Will that do? Are both the head and nut side of the center hub bolts 12 point?

just one to put on the beadlock. but you will need two if you take off the center part because the head and nut are both 12 point.

Thanks for the quick answer. I thought I might need two. Looks like I need to make a trip to Sears for another 12 point socket.

You won't need to take the center hub out unless you are trying to change offset or the hub breaks. You will only need one to mount the tires if that is all you are doing.

They come built up already? I thought I would have to put the 2 halfs together with the center hub.

they are already together. all you need to do is slip the tire on and bolt down the ring

That's how my rims came too. Not hard to put the tires on the rim, but kinda time consuming tightening the bolts on the rims.

Are there torque specs for tightening down the ring? I don't mean to hijack this thread. Just thought this question was on topic. Thanks.

Center Hub and Ring Bolt Torques are no more than 10 ft lbs or 120 inch Lbs. Snug them down first before torqueing them. Go in a circular pattern to assist in the tire aligning properly. The center hubs should be tightened in a star pattern. Do not over torque. I have heard of the bolts snapping. Another side note, do not use lock tite.

Got the rims today. The mounting was a breeze. Here's a picture.

There are more pictures in this thread if you'd like to see more.
