I would like to put some ss valves in place of the ti valves. A freind has some 05 valves and I would use them if they would work. Does anybody know if they will work??

they wont work, the valve stem diameter is differnt. get some kibblewhite ss valve and a spring kit. i think c&d sells them.

The intake valves will work but not the ex. 04/05 use one part number for valve stem seals. The 06/07 use 2 different part numbers for seals.

You can install 04-05 valves in a 06-07 head just the valves have to be changed. Likewise you can put the Ti valves from a 06-07 or a CRF in the 04-05 heads. Like posted above the Ex. valve on the 06-07 are a different diameter stem so you would have to change guides, seal, retainers, and keepers to use them.

I would look into putting some kibble white valves they are better than the stock honda valve. Your ex valves on your 06trx450 are steel and they seem to bw working fine.

No you won't need new guides if you are just putting the intake valves in. You will need to have the valve seats re-cut though and put some new valve stem seals in it and your good to go.
