I think you are the guy from earlywines right? I am the guy with the black 450 with the same problem.

It will stick at about 1/8 throttle. It is like hitting a wall, then you push real hard and it will break free for a min. I think it is in my slide. I take mine apart after each moto and clean it with some carb cleaner put it back together and it might last for 15 min of riding or 2 weeks. It is really getting on my nerves. This is the second carb I have had do this to me. I am also running a twin air filter that is cleaned after everyrace and oiled with PJ1 filter oil. Someone please help us.

Which fuel?

U4 and other fuels like it will gum up the slide and cause the throttle to stick.

R3concepts is right I think.

My slide had black stuff all over it that I thought was wear spots on the slide, but actually it was build up. I took the slide out of the carb used some 1000 grit and 2000 grit sand paper and some carb cleaner and brake cleaner. I cleaned al the build up off with it and used the 2000 grit on the inside of the carb where the slide goes up and down. It works perfect now. It is alot easier to move and I have no problem at all with it now.

As far as the race gas thing goes, I used pump gas forever then switched to C12 after the engine work. Shortly after that is when I started having the problem. So I would say it was the fuel.
