hey I have my motor apart, I send my head away for a porting job and I boght a 686 11:1 wiseco piston but the problem is that I dont have the money right now to buy a cam (I want to buy a stage 2 camshaft) so what im thinking is, wait a little with the cam and use my raptor with a stock cam.... would that work fine or do I really need another cam?

Im runnin the stock cam on my 700cc 700R, runs great- sounds off early. Just stick a 1 tooth bigger front sprocket on it and call it a day like I did.

yea, the stock cam will work fine. just save for the cam and put it in later, then you will be excited to find more power with that mod.

ok i`ll try to save fast and buy the camshaft.....

this is the message they send me where i have my head: the valves and seats need to be machined then everything will seat fine. they are worn and do not seal as they are. 80.00 i will machine the valves and seats.

what do u think about that? should i change the valves or are these one good?

they should be able to use the old valves and lab them in with a lapping compound. unless you have been riding the fourwheeler wide open for several years they should be ok. i never have had to replace a vavle in mine yet because of being worn out. which vavles are not sealing into the head? you might also save a little extra cash and buy a web cam instead of a hot cam. the hot cams are mass produced and the web cam are custom ground providing a little more power.
