i was scanning my pictures that are halfway new of my quad and it keeps looking all crappy. i know my scanners not that good but what should i do to ajust it to make it scan better? here is one pic i scanned earlier

change the cable, or reinstall...also there is a lock on some scanner beds....hmm make sure you have the most up to date driver....also check the scanner settings...have you dropped it? spilled anything on it? lol

yeah those are the basic trouble shooting ideas....if that dont fix it...get a new one...the all in one rocks I got the x73

Im not sure what a x83 is?:confused: right now I own an Epson 980 and I dont want to buy another Epson since I paid 300.00 for this piece of **** only a year ago..I was going to buy a Cannon or HP this time,do you know which are the better of the two??

It looks to me like you need a new scanner! The lines indicate where the scanner stopped to write to the hard drive. The color is off, the brightness is way off. Unless you screwed up your settings really bad, the scanner is toast.

i paid 149 for my lexmark..its a copier fax scanner printer...all in one..lol no problems...oh youll need to buy a cable for it too...20 bucks?

Buy a Lexmark, they are better than both. You can get an x73 for under $150, color copies, color scans, and color prints. :D

If your printer is printing lines like the above pictures, you might want to try cleaning the cartridges. This usually works pretty well with my Epson. There's actually a utility built into the printer control panel. PM me if you need more details.

WEll, I went and bought a new printer today, wish I would have read thsi first:( but I think I got a good one, they told me if my main reason for my printer was for photos, dont by an "all-in-one" the DPI isnt as good,and ill get more out of this one.I would have loved a prniter,scanner ,copier ,fax, but too much $$ for now, so I bought a HP photosmart 1115.up to 2400x1200 DPI, is this good?:confused:
