i am rebuilding from crank up and thinkin of going with DASA 500 big bore kit anyone used this kit if so how do u like it ?

There are many places to get kits. Personally, it is worth your while to call the shops offering these kits and ask them what their kit has that makes it better than somebody else. If they can't tell you much, then you have to wonder if it is worth the money. If you're interested in the DASA kit. Call Dan and ask him what is special about it. He should know better than anyone here on this site.

If you find out info - post it here so we all can learn from your experience.

thanks i called yesterday and he was already gone i called today and already closed so try tomorrow i was hopeing to get around 50 HP out of the kit i think its possible with +1over valves and the right cam is the key my only delima is talkin to Dan

if only 50 is your goal Call chad at DRG he is making mid to high 50 with stock bore / stroke combos

i want all i can get i dont know how much hp this set up will hit but any thing in the mid 50s is what i was expecting i had the head ported and plan on running a 13:1 piston this is my first build how much power should i expect?

i called dasa first and they said 995 then i was lookin under some web sites and found it for 860 im going to look around a little more tonight before i just order it i will post the best price i find

We sell the dasa kits and have installed them on many 450s. They are well worth the money

Does the kit include porting the head?

I am fairly sure Dan has different porting levels to suit your needs and hp desires.


Whatever you end up with, make sure you get your quad on a Dynojet dyno with an afr meter then post the data here...

i already ported the head just still havent talked to dan every time i call i get their machine. i dont know of any atv dyno here in TN
