sport trax fourtrax?

whats the difference between the fourtrax and the sporttrax. i have a fourtrax and my buddy has a sporttrax they both look and perform the same.whats the difference?

i have a 2000 400ex fourtrax he has a 2000 400ex sporttrax

It's just the name. Everything is the same between the two.

yea its just the name it was fourtrax till 2000, and from 2000 to now its sportrax

i don't even mind the fourtrax and sportrax names to me its still a 400ex no matter if its a 2000 or 2006 but whatever

they changed the name to make it seem more appealing to the racers, because the 300ex and some utilitys were called fourtrax

1999-2000 called the fourtrax to keep with the old names like fourtrax 250r and such. then in 2001 it was changed to sportrax to separate the name from the ute's.then i believe in 2004 then went back to the fourtrax name and now it is just the TRX, they do not list it as a fourtrax or a sportrax.
