get the DID ATV X RING. I love it. I will always put it on my quads. Acually as soon as summer break comes this season, I will be putting one on my 450r. I just cant waste that OEM chain. lol. Also, replace your sprockets while your at it. I reccomend the TUSK brand. they are very high quality.

i think i am going with the primary drive front and rear sprocket and the did atv x-ring chain.

What would be the advantage of putting a 39 tooth on the back?

with a 39 out back youll loose top speed. DID X ring 520 atv chains are the best. they have the highest tensil strength of any chain and will last a long long time if you take care of it.

depends what kind of racing you do. You will lose GC with the larger sprocket! Just go with the 13/38 setup. Its perfect for the 04/05. I am going to be doing it very soon, while my chain and other sprocket is brand new basically.

what is the difference in the DID X ring 520 atv chain and the DID X ring 520 chain.

other than the ATV one is cheaper.

and is this the best chain for the mud and for some one who don't take the best care of their chain?

the DID 520 X Ring is only rated for a 400CC machine... I have used them forever and have not had a problem.

I have an 05' 450R.

on the 06' 450R we have broken 4 DID 520 X Ring's?
yes they were installed properly.

not real sure what the problem is. but we are leaning towards the power delivery of the 06'.

now trying Regina 520...
