It is a good idea to put a new copper crush exhaust gasket in when installing a new pipe. You can reuse your old one however...

Becareful when taking the old pipe off, make sure you look for the old copper crush gasket...it may be stuck on the end of the header pipe, or it may be stuck on the head itself.

Other than that....you will most likely need to re-jet your carb.

Rejetting your carburetor keeps your air/fuel mixture in check. A poorly jetted quad will run like CRAP :).

To take advantage of that shiny new pipe, which will allow the engine to exhale more efficiently...You can shove more air and fuel into the engine at the same time. This is why I recommend taking off your airbox lid in addition to installing your new pipe.

Search around this forum to find more info. There are lots of good "jetting" threads with a lot of info.

Good luck!

Yea you should rejet with that pipe. Some pipes systems come with jets. They should. I bet you could get away with bumping up your main about 2 sizes, And by putting your e-clip on your needle up a notch and turning your air-fuel screw out about 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Hopefully the pipe comes with instru.
