Is the 300ex the like the 400ex where you can get the basically same flow from griding the welds in the header or getting and new head pipe? My engine is not worked so it worth the $140 for the WB head pipe? or just gind the welds? Any feed back on the power roll header for $100?

the 300ex pipe is way more restrictive than the 400ex pipe. i would suggest getting the new pipe, most companys sell the pipe and silencer together. its all up to u though cuz wit more backpressure (stock pipe) u will have more lowend.

I would second that. The WB head pipe for the 300 was WAY bigger than the stock pipe. Plus the WB head pipe has a different routing path than the stock pipe, making a shorter length, and smoother bends. I have been very happy with mine. I just need to find a heat shield for the head pipe, those things get hot. I already melted a hole in my riding pants from it.

I would "third" the ides of just getting a new head pipe. It's much bigger and like eldoexrider01 said, you can get a better deal on a head and pipe combo for the 300 vs. the 400. Maybe check into a disc style exhaust so you can adjust your back pressure and tune it in.
