With a needed break in order for the family, we shot up to see Dan, Amanda and Abbie and hang out for the afternoon.

The weather looked bad, but the temps were in the high 50's and the rain held off for some excellent riding

Paul Gregg was busy dialing in his new LTR

I chatted with Paul about his recent switch to Suzuki and Fox Float shocks. It will be interesting to follow Paul as the season gets cranked up and get the skinny on how well everything is working.

Breezewoods owner, Dan Harris, was out and about getting used to his own new quad, a 450R

Dan and Matt Vansant have rode many a lap together and were having a blast ripping it up for me.

Its always fun to watch two friends battle it out

Cody was just going to take his bike, but at the last minute he chose the quad so we loaded her up. I had asked him to ride very easy today and thankfully he did:chinese:

Turnout wasnt huge, but for this area in the middle of January, it was good

Pappy
01-14-2007, 05:39 PM
Cody came whizzing past me as I started to walk back to the parking area. I needed a break from work, and being trackside snapping pics wasnt letting me get away for the day:p (in other words I am beat tired and I wasnt taking pics worth a hoot)

Pappy
01-14-2007, 05:41 PM
Fox shocks are becoming very popular I see:p

Pappy
01-14-2007, 05:44 PM
I was watching Cody work the upper section and as he headed into the fast sweeper I saw his right rear tire wobble badly. Before I knew it, the tire went off and Cody went out of my view:p

Luckily, he managed to get her off the track in one piece, he did however have to wait for the wind to sail his rear tire to the bank of the sediment pond:cool:

01-14-2007, 10:00 PM
Hey pappy, is BPG open every weekend? I need to go ride, and I wanna test out my new pipe and play with the jets and was thinking about going there instead of Rausch Creek.

Pappy,

Thanks for the great pics. To all the riders who showed up yesterday, especially Matt Vansant and Paul Gregg I had a great time riding with you guys. Hard to believe were enjoying 50 degree temps and great track conditions in mid January.

I'll have the park open on the weekends as long as the weather co-operates, I recommend calling the info line or checking the website to make sure before making the trip.

Don't forget to spread the word: I AM HOLDING AN OUTLAW NIGHT RACE ON THE BIG TRACK THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND - SATURDAY NIGHT. CLASSES FOR ALL QUADS AND 2 WHEELERS. Come show your support !!

Is there anything for the wife and kids (who don't ride ) to do out there? A weekend out there sounds like a great thing to do when the weather gets warmer.

My wife and many others dont ride either. They do tend to gather around the dining hall and do what women do....

The last couple of times I was there, there were some kids playing soccer/frisbee, having fun, etc. in the land next to the dining hall. I would highly recommend taking a trip to check it out! In my opinion, it's the best place to ride and have fun with some great people!!! I can't wait to get back over there this spring!

Those are some nice shots Pappy. I had fun out there ripping it up with Paul, Dan and friends. The tracks were in great shape and it actually got a little warm out there riding.

I wish I could have got more of everyone, but the lighting was horrid and I am just about at the walking dead stage:p between being overly tired and battling off the flu that everyone around me has had, im pooped:p

Here's 12 year old flyboy62 on his 250 and enjoying BPG. He loves it there and there is plenty of big and small jumps for everyone.

There is a kids track for beginners and jumps on all tracks have a bypass if you want to go around. That's what I did until I got more confidence and experience.

Once you go there, you'll want to keep going back.

Check out the link in my sig.vvvvvvvvvvv

ok thanks guys for the info and now i really do want to go! but also is there woods trails? cuz it says you can camp there so im not sure if there is any woods trails?

Pappy
01-20-2007, 10:31 AM
not much in the way of trails, mainly all MX. there is however a place about 45 minutes north of BPG that has more trails then you could ride in a weekend. The info is on the wall in the dinning hall so if you wanted a day or so of mx and then shoot off to the other place for some trails, its all doable.

flyboy62
01-20-2007, 11:16 AM
whats that place called pappy??

Pappy
01-20-2007, 02:02 PM
I dont remeber the name, but in the "where to ride" section, look for a thread called "Quadfest 07" and I beleive there is a link to it.
