Ok, here's the deal. Kinda a long read but oh well.

I won a skidplate from :

this guy (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150066758895&rd=1&rd=1) right after I ordered a full set, I had nothing to lose so I called him and explained the situation. He graciouslly agreed to send me this bumper (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150080345156&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.search.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3Ff rom%3DR40%26satitle%3D150080345156%26fvi%3D1) instead of a skidplate.

IMO he went out of his way to help me out so I immediately published positive feedback. Initially he mailed me the skid plate, I called him and he paid the return shipping and mailed out the correct bumper. Well, the bumper arrived and looked great but failed to mount properly. See pics:

and as you can see it won't bolt up to my 07 250EX. I emailed him these same pics but got no reponse.

Does anyone have the metal working skills and capabilities to correct this? Of course I'll gladly pay for your time and expenses. Thanks.

I know how to fix it, but it's a secret that you can't tell anyone else. Here it is.

Seriously I'm not joking. Take the bumper off and give it a few taps. Then put it back on and just keep doing it until the holes line up.

I would say drill new holes, use a lock washer, and tighten the hell out of it!

Project, been there, tried that. It took me better than an hour with a rubber mallet (to prevent severe damage) to get it as close as I did.

Any other ideas?

You should be able to get it lined up with a hammer. I've done two like that and they were in worse shape than yours.

I've had similar situations with bumpers in the past. I just used a round file and filed the hole until you could get a bolt to line up with the frame. If you do that and put a washer in there you should be fine, it works ;)

all of my bumpers have had problems aligning up straight....a hammer and a few good wacks will make it fit!!

So I can either dremel it or try to sell it on eBay.....

Dremel took too long, used the edge of a drill bit and it cut it pretty quickly. So it's on there now. Thanks for the help guys.
