I race XC and do a little MX. I want the stock width for XC but I want a longer axle for MX. Are there any modifications I could do to extend the rear width without changing axles? I heard that the ltr450 has longer hubs, is there any companies that make longer hubs?

i wouldnt reccomend it, just use the stock axle./Stock width.
you want the front to be wider the the rear.

If your gonna buy extended hubs, just get the G-force Axle and just change the spacer.

Gforce makes extended rear hubs for $79.99 in the new Rocky Mountain atv catalog. I am going to try them.

i bought the new leager axle. It goes from stock width to +3. So i can do both xc and mx.

for an extra $100 why dont you just get the axle. That too goes from stock to +3. and you dont have to worry about bending the stock axle. DOnt try to jump with those extened hubs cuz the axle will bend.

In 5 years of racing I have yet to see a stock axle bend b/c of jump, now a bent axle from a crash is a different story

if u put extened hibs on it it puts for leverage on the axle causeing it to bend ... just buy a g-force axle

havent seen my 300 then...lol. Racing XC and I hit a nasty root, it didnt phase me and after the race (which I happened to win) my friend came over and said I f***'d my axle real bad. I didnt believe him so I just started riding and looked down and it was bent big time! I also lost my front plastic that race too so it was a very costly race for me.
