That's the first I've seen Black Slip-on with a Red Vector End Cap. Mine's the exact opposite. I have the Red Slip-on with Black Vector End Cap. Here's a video of mine with the Quiet Core Installed.

how did the frame guards do hornet?

I had to get smaller fasteners on the right side and the swingarm bolt and nut are stripped out on the left side (from the factory). It ends up I'm going to spend close to $80.00 to purchase and install them. Wish I wouldn't have messed with them. Too late now.

why wouldnt the r brake res bolts work??? im sorry man i never installed them on my 400 before i got rid of them, i am just passing on information from the person i bought them off ebay from, once again im sorry, i didn't realize that it would be that much trouble to install them

The swingarm bolt/nut being stripped (from the factory) was just bad luck. The stock allen head screws on the right side were to big to fit in the recessed holes. It is just one of those things that kept snowballing into something bigger and bigger the more I tried. The new swingarm bolt and nut are on the way ($32.00). Knowing how my lucks going, the stripped bolt will be froozen and near impossible to get out.

gandalf or hornetgod13 what does the hfm slip-on sound like without the quite core i ride on 33 acres of farm land and woods sound is no problem here?

I don't have a sound clip with the quiet core out but, I did run it that way to see what it sounds like. It sounded much loader. With the Quiet Core installed it was around 97 decibels. With the Quiet Core Removed it was near 102 decibels. You'd almost have to wear hearing protection and your helmet or risk permanent hearing loss.

It sounds good! Does riding with the Quiet Core installed every get too loud & annoying compared to the stock exhaust?

The quiet core is perfect for me. Not too loud or annoying. I like the fact that it can turn a head or two when I romp on it. It's a low/deep sound. I've riden with it now for about 20 hours and have no complaints what so ever.

Off the subject, but Hornet, who makes those air scoops? Is the honda logo just a sticker?

Do a search on eBay for 400ex scoops, you'll get several hits.

I bought the Black Vector End Cap at the same time I purchased the HMF Slip-on. It was an additional $30.00. I got both $269.00 from http://www.worldwideperformance1.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

The graphics kit and matching seat cover are made by DMP Covers $108.00. You can find them on Ebay and www.dmpcovers.com

IMS Intimadator Bumper can be found at just about any online ATV parts store for $115.00.

Here's a link to another thread with a lot more photos of my quad.
