It's amazing what you can do in paint when you are bored:o

Before:
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/7630/sghsrit3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

After:
http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/1862/1234wj7kg0.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I changed the handlbars, frame, subframe, took off the graphics, changed the rims, hubs, swingarm, shift lever, made the engine head black, and timing cover yellow. What do you think?

its also not legal where it's ridden and personally, it sounds much better with the k&n and no air box lid. :ermm: we dont really feel like paying fines or aiding the loss of riding spots. thanks though!

Wow guys, seriously, i live in a 30 acre neighborhood with 40 houses:rolleyes: Sure, maybe where you live you can take off your whole muffler and nobody would care, but that's not true by me. If manning up is being the abnoxious kid that lives down the street that rides in his yard everyday with a loud quad, that is very, very stupid.

i really wasnt offended by any of your comments since i've seen and heard much worse from people my own age. i guess its just a difference of surroundings, we have houses close by and you dont. so next time somebody says that, chill. go on about your ways and i'll go on about mine, unless you're from that farm in oconomowoc that screwed me over with this 400...:chinese:

When I was younger I used to pull The spark arrestor out of all my stuff and thought it was the coolest mod you could do. I then realized with age that it really sounded terrible and a lot of times you loose a little HP. I'm going to guess you guys are around 15, but I could be wrong. Wait until you into your late teens and early 20's and see what you think about the young men running around with bubble machines from Willy Wonka. When you get older you get in a lot more trouble for all those kinds of things. Just keep that in mind. We've all been though the gotta have the loudest thing possible phase, but please look at whats best for the sport as a whole. I can no longer ride around my house because of my stupidity. Now I pay the price everytime I have to drive a half hour away to ride for more than 20 seconds at a time.

Well, my county actually tried to ban atv's, dirtbikes, go-carts etc. COMPLETELY (even on private property) because of noise. I really would rather ride quiet than not ride at all.

Now back to the picture. What else do you guys think I could do?:muscle:

long story short, i bought a 2000 400ex from a farm in oconomowoc about 2 years ago and it ended up basically being a time bomb. after $2200 in engine repairs its finally reliable again. we got screwed.

i have a suggestion. put some new bars on it since you can always take them off and put them on the 400 when you get it. a bracket could be made for the lights and key that attaches to the bar clamps since they have mounting brackets on them for the stock 'dash' (#10 &11). no drilling required, so it could be put back to stock easily. just a thought.

i like how u put the neutral/reverse lights behind the light. this is my personal oppinion -> i dont know if it wouldve fit but i would have put the key behind the light too..

but neways i hate the stock honda dashes

im thinking of either fabing a steel plate to welt to the frame rail to mount the lights and key on

BlasterEaten250

if you dont want holes in your plastics make a handlebar plate like mine.. it took like an hour to make and when i sell it i can put the stock dash on with no holes in my plastics:D

yes, taking out the chambers may add a bit of horsepower with proper jetting. however, if thats done then there wont be many riding areas for you kiddies when you're my age. whatever im out of this. strange how true the age and wisdom thing is. brandon, i cant wait until you get the 400 so you can start posting in the section where people care about the future of ATVing on public land.

Wow guys, this post is about a time when I was bored and decided to change the colors a little bit on my 250ex in paint, not how if you take out the spark arrester it gets louder. I already knows what happens if you take out the spark arrester, I've had this 250ex for 5 years:rolleyes: I am not going to take out the spark arrester. You might as well give up. You are beating a dead horse. There is no point. It's the stupid internet. Now get back on topic or I am deleting this pointless thread.

Its funny because most of the people here are older than me. Also, swearing has absolutely NO effect on the internet, it just makes you look like a cocky little kid that has no life that didn't get a hug from his mom today:chinese:

I am laughing at you right now because you are making yourself look like an idiot;) (just a word from the wise)

it's a big secret. I could tell you...............but then I would have to kill you! LOL, There are really no set guidelines that I know of, I guess just the moderators and the administrator would have to notice that you're stable and level headed, never get into little childish spats on the forums, be a helpful kind of person, and we have to need more help at the time. We never advertise that we're looking or when we're looking because that would cause people to act differently. We just talk about it in private and make suggestions as to who we would want and do kind of a vote sort of thing.

Sunco,
I didn't mention our trailers, but I've got a 4 position enclosed (old) snowmobile trailer that we keep our 3 sleds and our boating and fishing gear in, a 2 position open tilt bed snowmobile trailer, a 5 X 10 landscape trailer that holds 2 quads, and an open car trailer, and obviously a boat trailer LOL! I should probably get rid of the ATC70 too. And I really should get a snow plow for my truck!

sunco
02-07-2007, 09:57 AM
I gave up snow plowing soon after the kids were born so I could play in the snow differently:cool: We do have alot of stuff. I'd love to cash alot of it in. I'm a carpenter by trade & its hard to throw away some items ,but after a couple of years you just whined up throwing it out cause your sick of looking @ it. Everything seems to have a tire!:eek2:

I remember a thread a few years ago titled "How many cylinders do you have" where you counted the total number of cylinders you have. For example, if your car has a v8 that would be 8, your chainsaw would be one, your quad one etc... I don't remember how many I had at the time but I have over 50 now! Some people had over 100!
