How'd u get into the sport?

who influenced u to start? wut machine did u start on? i mean like the very first dirtbike/ATV u ever rode at all...


i will start.

my dad rode dirtbikes when he was a kid, so i have been basically hooked on them since i was born. the first machine i ever rode at all was a 1979 RM125 that had absolutly no powerband at all. now im on a 400ex, but im converting back to dirtbikes with a 2001 CR125

My dad rode Harley's, he bought me a 1975 Indian motorcycle and then a 1976 Honda ATC 70, then 1982 BigRed, then 1984 200X. In 2002 While stationed in Okinawa I bought my son a KX80 and myself a 2001 CR250. Now I have a 06 400EX.

I saw a ATV Sport magazine when I was about 11, almost 10 years ago, and fell in love. I'm the first in my family to ride or race. I've been hooked ever since. It's not a sport anymore to me, it's an addiction.

i rode a honda 300 4x4 and thought it was the fastest thing ever when i wa slike 12. ever since then ive been hooked

when i was little i saw my neighbor ride his quads all the time and always wanted one. then finally i got a dinli 90, now im on a 400ex

my parents bought 3 quads in '86: the quadsport 230, quadrunner 230, quadsport lt80 (my sister is 3 years older than me so this was hers for now). my dad welded a bar onto his handlebars so i could sit up front and hold onto the bar. all of their neighbors rode too so every weekend we were gone riding. game commision problems and a death of one in the group (not quad related) seemed to put a stop to riding in '90. i pulled the lt80 back out in '95 and have been at it strong since

In 1983, when I was 5 years old, my Dad bought a new 1983 Honda ATC 200 3-wheeler. So at 5 years old, I was riding this 3 three wheeler and it was awesome. Then in 1985, we bought a brand new ATC 70. We still have both of them to this day. In 2002, my brother bought a new '02 400EX and it seemed super fast. The old ATC 200 that i would ride when we'd go couldn't really cut it anymore, so that same year, I bought a new '03 Raptor 660. I doubt we will ever sell any of these. We will just keep adding to the collection.

my godfather bought be a honda 50cc drit bike when i was 4 then i sold that and got a suzuki 90. sold that to buy a 5hp go cart, sold that and bought a big 10hp go cart, then i got a cz250 or 225 i can't remember, then i sold that to buy a honda 230 and bought a z400, had those and bought a blaster after selling the go cart. Then bought a z400 quad. then sold the z400 quad and the 2 dirt bike for a trx450. then sold the blaster for a 06 trx450. then i bought a yz250 dirt bike and a ltr. WOW thats a long list. plus i forgot some things.

me and my friend got little honda 50's when i was about 5, couse our older brothers rode together, then i got a 70 dirtbike, then i got a gokart couse i thought they where great, then a 250ex quad, and then my z

back in 1982 my sister wanted a horse. So dad went to sell his dirt bike to the dealership and they had the first ATV ever built the 1982 QuadRunner LT125.
he got it because my sister could ride it and it was a lot less maintenance than a horse.

i started riding it even before i could reach the shifter and i was hooked the first ride.

My cousin got me into the sport. he was such a good rider to. He doesnt/cant ride anymore because hes paralyzed. it sucks but thats life.

I wanted a dirtbike when i was 6 or so.. dad got me a pw 80/then rm80 ( got stolen) then cr85 ( got stolen) and then 400ex i have now. The thievies were caught.. but only for the second time, so we coundet pin them for the rm80.. know it was the same people though.

I started on a dirtbike, I got into quads ever since I saw this guy on a race ready YFZ (i assumed he races) blow past me in the whoops. I wanted a banshee at first, then I saw the 400ex.

I met my best friend in the 4th grade and found out he had a yamaha badger 80 and he taught me how to ride and i have progressed from there. we rode the livin crap outta it. then i got my 300ex and then my second 300ex and that is how i got into the sport

friend had a atc125 3 wheeler and i started riding that. Got my first quad(300ex) back when i was 10.. I rode that untill 2005 and then i got my 2005 450r!:devil:

My father and older sisters rode dirt bikes when I was very young then everyone quit riding, I didnt forget, so in 1978 my dad bought me a 1976 Honda Z50. It has been in my blood since then.

soo true!....my uncle bought a kodiak when i was 10 and let me ride it when we went camping with him....then he got a raptor and i rode that for a little while(only in like 1st gear...he didn't teach me how to shift :p) ...and then i rode my little cousin's 50cc(he was only like 2 years old so it was kinda small...but i had fun).....and then we finally got our own quads...so i rode a z-250 until this year..and now i'm riding my dad's z-400:D

my cousin probaly got me in to the sport and the first quad i ever rode was either a honda 300 4x4 (still own) or a old 70 trike a long tim ago so im not exactly sure which was the first

I rode my cousins farm quad (trx300) around for a year or so whenever we were there. Then my dad bought me a 1986 200sx, then it was all down hill from there:p

my best friend had a lt-125 that we rode around so then i wanted a quad and my cousins had banshees. i had a mini-bike for a while then got a 230 then a 250x now a blaster and coming soon is a 450. now im pretty much addicted.

My dad used to ride dirtbikes untill he married mom, then got an atv (Timberwolve). Well one day about 10 or 12 years ago he came home with an atv in the bed of his truck for me, I was thrilled. I kinda grew away from the sport and from 1998 to 2005 I went without a quad. Last year I bought the YFZ and now its expanded to even more, and im hooked for life.... Dad now rides a Polaris Explorer, and is looking at the King Quads, I keep trying to talk him into a sport quad but I dont think thats gonna happen hahaha.

ya my second quad was a 1987 200sx, i tried to kill it but it would not die. It still runs to day.

my dad rode bikes and has a motorcycle, so when i was like 10 i wanted one too, then a few kids around me bought dirt bikes and utilty quads,i watched them ride on teh trails behind my house and thought it was cool, then i started checkin out quads and they looked cooler, and i got one for christmas, the first quad i ever rode was also the first quad i owned, i had the 90 for 6 months, sold it and bought a 300ex and thought i was the best( i remeber the first day i had it i wanted to impress my buddys to i tryed a wheelie, but i wheelied into a tree instead haha) i rode that around, then modded it out a little, then tore all the parts off and rebuild it as a full blown MX quad, started racing that, did horrible my first season ( like 34th) then last season i got 7th overall, just sold it 3 months ago and picked up my 450R
