Has anybody or anybody you know transplanted, say a fuel injected 600 into a 400ex frame or similar? I can't imagine it being wayyyy too hard. Saw a video years ago of some guy who put a CBR600rr motor in a Warrior chassis and wow it looked wild!

I think it would be pretty wild to do the same motor or maybe one from an F4i in a 400ex frame.

I seen alot in a ex frame. Actually some one put a 600cc crotch rocket in a 400ex and yamaha too that idea and made the rap 660.

To get teh big 4 cylinder motors in a ex i think they had t omod the top frame tubes. I seen a ex it went 100 mph in 3rd gear.

I plan on doing something similar pretty soon. I am putting one of the 1000 engines in an EX frame. I am gonna have to really chop up the frame to get everthing to work, but it should not be much of a problem otherwise. As long as you take your time and do everything the right way, then you will be fine!

Heck, I rode a 300EX with a CBR600 engine in it. It was pretty fast, too....

I was going to put a CBR600F4i motor in my project quad, but I do too much trail riding. So I'm going with an RM250 motor.

how do you go from the 530 cycle chain and sprocket to the 520 fourwheeler chain and sprocket?

one thing the 660 single and a high revving inline 4 are about as far apart in design and purpose as engines can be.

this is not why yamaha made the raptor, they did source engine design from a bike however, but it is nothing like a R6 engine at all.

and there was a blaster with an I4 at oregon dunes last year and it was up banshee hill in less than about 2 seconds. heard him downshift, and he was GONE. I got a 599 I4 right now and without the oilpan and airbx it sldies right in, but the airbox is the pain, and they dont run that good without it.

also, about running a 520 chain with a street bike engine, found this for the I4 I got for a quad someday, its a conversion kit to run a 520 chain on the bike, comes with chain and sprockets, bolt on the front sprocket, line it up with the quads stock rear sprocket and there you go.

Find a GSXR750 motor should be awesome, I think the 1000 might be a little too much. Why couldnt you trail ride with these quads? I have the gsxr750 and thoe i couldnt imagine what it would be like to ride a quad with that sort of power I dont see any mechanical reason you couldnt take it on the trails it would just be a handfull.

any decent 600 should be nuts, but if you are going to the trouble to do the swap, and are sourcing the engine, no reason to not go all out anf get a liter. the engine have is out of a bike I had when I did something really dumb that im still paying for almost 2 years later.

Bump...........

Would anyone happen to know of a hybrid building site, possibly with street engine hybrids also in it?

Hey if my 2 smoker YZ426 ever blows up I'll probably be putting a CBR600RR motor in it.
