Can some of you post you trainging programs or how you train to get ready for racing.

do this. find a long trail. Fill your tank up and take another 5 gallon tank with gas. Dont stop riding till its all gone. Thats what i do to practice for mx.

I try to ride or race every weekend and pratice 1 time during the week. I run race pace for 2.5 hours. Drink about 1 gallon of water everyday.

hit the gym with a ton of cardio, i ride mx but thats what my friends who ride gncc do

HERE IS A GOOD ONE. GET A TWIST THROTTLE. YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT HOW STRONG YOUR WRISTS SUDDENLY FEEL AFTER A RACE COMPARED TO HAVING A THUMB THROTTLE. NO EXERCISE NEEDED!!! HA!

I go to the track 4 times a week its...after home work and stuff...work ect... and practice for about 2 hours hammer down till I start to feel no thumb and sweat covers my goggles..then I know when to stop...drink a TON OF WATER!!!! that really decreases arm pump....after I started practicing all the time I really noticed I was getting real fast my dad brings a stop watch and times me....bring one of them too if somone can time you it makes you want to go faster....

i ride twice a week watch alot of tv play on this thing PC race every weekend make fun of GNCCer drink a little that helped a little but the best is i uped my personal insurance my lap time keep getting faster. lol ride ride ride try the new stuff at home stick to the basics at the race

I think I can help.

Playstation ATV fury 2, helps with arm pump and doesn’t hurt as bad hitting the trees. :lol

Try riding my heavy *** raptor for 1 hour. That will kick you’re butt. Forget drinking water man, all you do is piss all the time, plus I slush when I walk. And Peodolite tastes like crap and so does protein bars.

What kills me? Right before the start of a race, you at least see 4 or 5 guys puffing on a cigarette.

I want to start a short fat guy class. Water wings are allowed for water crossings.

Just practice, practice, practice. Try new lines, postions, etc while praticing. Drink plenty of water ( yu will sweat it out, not piss it put ), and try to work out you forearms to get them stronger. Oh ya, did i mention practice? Find a set of woods and biuld a huge track ( thats what i did)

This is the only way to be in shape for GNCC's ......... Period!


I know cause I used to ride alot, and I was always pissed when the race ended, cause I wasn't tired yet.

Now I never ride, and I count the laps, hoping the'll screw-up and end the race early

I would personally recommend staying
away form the strip clubs the night before
a race. I really wish I would have done this before my last race.

Amen on that Johnny. You can hit the gym all you want but nothing takes the place of good ol riding.:macho

You mean those "buns of steel" tapes are no good. What about watching Richard Simmons in the mornings. Try lots of wild monkey sex. Good cardio.
